About NCA S800C - Heavy duty shut-off

Heavy-duty shut-off dampers for the most demanding applications.

The new NCA Series 800C heavy-duty shut-off damper has been designed in response to customer requests and brings numerous performance advantages.
- Verified low leakage levels: The fully sealed design has resulted in a damper with BSRIA tested leakage levels of under 20 l/s/m² at 1000 Pa (tested up to 2000 Pa).
- Robust construction: Comprising a 180mm deep 1.2mm thick galvanised steel frame, extruded aluminium aerofoil blades and an all-steel low torque drive system, S800C dampers are perfect for high velocity and/or large applications.
- Very low resistance to airflow: The heavy-duty but aerodynamic aerofoil blade profile has resulted in a damper that presents only a 10 Pa pressure drop at 15 m/s.
- Large sections: The robust blade profile, combined with a precision steel drive system means that single sections can be manufactured up to 2m x 2m nominal, and controlled from a single control point, e.g. actuator.
Like all dampers available from HVC, the drive system is protected from dust and dirt by being positioned within the channel outer frame, making S800C dampers less susceptible to requiring frequent maintenance than rival units where the linkage is within the airstream.

A range of control options is available for your S800C dampers, from locking quadrants to factory-fitted electronic or pneumatic actuators. ATEX rated actuators can be supplied if required.
