About LF uPVC-VCD - High Performance Plastic Volume Control Dampers

Our High Performance Plastic Volume Control Dampers are perfect for natural ventilation applications or those requiring enhanced corrosion resistance.

Intended from the outset for the next generation of energy-efficient buildings, our range of LF uPVC-VCD high-performance plastic volume control dampers bring numerous benefits:
- Extremely low leakage
  Proven in independent testing to have a leakage rate of just 2.76 m3/hr/m2 through the blades with a 50 Pa pressure differential. This is over 70% better than required by Part L of Building Regulations.
- Complete thermal break
  With all major components manufactured from extruded uPVC, large format plastic dampers lose far less heat through conduction and are far less prone to condensation problems than metal dampers.
- Inherent resistance to corrosion
  The plastic construction not only provides a thermal break, but it also means there is a much-reduced chance of corrosion, making this series of VCD suitable for swimming pool installations or those near the coast.
In addition to the performance benefits, our high-performance plastic volume control dampers can be customised to suit your exact requirements; we can supply them factory fitted with a full range of electronic or pneumatic actuators, and if required can be painted to any RAL or BS colour.
