About HVC-VCD - Aluminium Volume Control Dampers

An excellent general-purpose VCD, time tested and with proven reliability.

Intended for low to medium velocity applications, Series HVC-VCDs are manufactured from aluminium throughout, giving this series of volume control damper an inherently high resistance to corrosion with minimal weight.

A maximum free area of over 80% when fully open means energy loss through resistance to airflow is minimal, and the HVC standard out-of-airstream linkage ensures low maintenance and low torque operation, meaning that even large units can be driven from a single manual control point or actuator.

As standard HVC-VCDs are intended for balancing applications, with no blade edge or frame side seals, however, if required these can be specified as options to produce a VCD with the much-improved level of shut-off.

A number of options are available for aluminium volume control dampers, including a high-temperature specification suitable for installation in temperatures of up to 300 degrees.
