About ECG - Egg Crate Grille

Comprising a core with a free area of over 90%, egg crate grilles are designed to handle large air volumes without generating excessive noise or impeding ventilation system function with excessive pressure drops. Their design resembles an egg crate with a series of closely spaced bars arranged in a grid pattern. This allows air to distribute evenly, making it ideal for areas that require high air changeover rates such as restaurant kitchens, painting booths and so on.

Available In Different Series

At HVC Supplies, egg crate grilles are available in two different series:

ECG: 0° core (standard)

The bars are oriented parallel to each other, creating a grid pattern. They can be mounted in the ceiling for vertical throw, as well as being suitable for extract applications where a parallel airflow distribution is preferred or required.

ECG45: 45° core (optional)

The set of bars is angled at 45 degrees, compared to the 0° core. This creates a diagonal grid pattern. Often used in sight blocking properties and in applications where a specific directional airflow or a combination of horizontal and vertical airflow distribution is desired.

Manufactured To Your Exact Requirements

To make our egg crate grilles match your exact requirements, we can manufacture them to your preferred options including hinged and removable cores, rear-mounted opposed blade dampers for airflow balancing, flat, bevelled or surface mounted frame and in a polyester powder coating to any RAL/BS colour.
